Josie.Ane who?

A little bit about me…

I’ve always believed life is full of twists and turns, and one of the biggest for me came when my aerial performing career came to an end. I found myself in Las Vegas, newly married and expecting my first child, feeling like something was missing.

It was a time of mixed feeling - saying goodbye to a career that had once filled me with so much passion. That’s when my husband handed me some canvases and paintbrushes. What started as a simple gesture turned into something much deeper. Painting became my escape, my healing, and my way of reconnecting with my inner self. It was like I’d found a whole new world within me—one filled with color, peace, and possibility.

As I traveled and lived in different places, my art evolved alongside me. In Mississippi, I began exploring acrylic painting, testing out different styles and techniques. When we moved to Texas, I felt this pull to connect with other artists, and that’s how "Coffee and Art Time" was born—a little community where we’d gather, share ideas, and inspire one another. The Netherlands was another turning point, especially with its rich artistic heritage. Van Gogh’s spirit seemed to be everywhere, and I soaked it all in, feeling more inspired than ever.

Eventually, I landed in Virginia, where I took the leap and launched "Hearts Your Life." This wasn’t just a business for me—it was a way to bring my art to the world and help others tap into their own creativity. I started showcasing my pieces in galleries, hosting workshops, and leading paint time by the water and at the farm. There was something so special about those moments—teaching, sharing, and watching others find joy through art.

Now, here I am, settled in beautiful Colorado Springs, more dedicated to my art than ever. Every piece I create feels like a little piece of my heart that I’m sending out into the world. My hope is that through my work, I can bring a bit of beauty and color to your life, just as art has done for me.

Thanks for being a part of this journey with me—I’m so glad you’re here.

With Love, Josie.Ane
