INKS 011 - A Bloom from Childhood Dreams

Day 11 – A Bloom from Childhood Dreams

Today’s painting (watch here) came through in warm, earthy tones—like sunlight on your skin and bare feet in the grass. It’s painted on a round 10" Nara paper, and something about the shape, the colors, and the softness of the petals brought me back to childhood.

The quote for today is:

“Remember your childhood dreams and honor them. Let them inspire you today.”

As I painted, I thought about little me—always creating, imagining, dreaming up worlds in color. Back then, art wasn’t about being good or perfect—it was about joy. About getting lost in the moment, in the swirl of paint, the scent of markers, the rhythm of play.

Today’s bloom is a tribute to that part of myself. And maybe it’s a gentle nudge for you, too.

What did you love doing as a child?
What did you dream of becoming?
And is there a way to bring a piece of that into your life today?

This is Day 11 of my 20 Days of Ink, and we’re inching closer to the Ink & Blooms 5-Day Alcohol Ink Challenge, starting April 21st. Every piece, every quote, every moment of this journey is about reconnecting—with your creativity, your joy, and your heart.

👉 If you're feeling that nudge to create, you’re so welcome to join me.
