INKS 009 - Forgiveness

Day 9 – The Gentle Art of Forgiveness
Today’s painting brought me into a quiet space.
This little cherry blossom tree, growing from the strength of dark stone, feels like a metaphor for something we all hold inside—something tender blooming from something heavy. That’s the energy I carried with me as I created this piece.
The quote for today is:
“Who do you need to forgive? Forgiveness is not about forgetting, but about feeling at peace with a situation or a person (including yourself).”
It made me pause.
Because forgiveness is rarely easy. It’s layered and slow. And sometimes, the person we most need to forgive… is ourselves. For the times we were too harsh. For the things we didn’t know then that we know now. For carrying the weight of stories that were never ours to hold.
This is Day 9 of my 20 Days of Ink, and every day is bringing me deeper into reflection, connection, and expression. It's all leading up to the Ink & Blooms 5-Day Challenge starting April 21st—where we’ll create together with intention and heart.

And stay tuned… because tomorrow I’ll be working on something special: the triptych this peace is part of, I needed to add a little more coesion between the artwork., I’m so excited to share it with you.
Until then—
Forgive gently.
Create freely.
Love & Create,
