Day 8 – A Little Joy Goes a Long Way
Today’s painting brought me so much joy—not because it was bold or complicated, but because it was simple.
I chose colors that made me feel good: teal, soft purple, a hint of gold. I let the ink flow without overthinking, just enjoying the way the petals took shape. It felt easy, fun, and light—and honestly, that’s exactly the kind of energy I needed.
One of the things I’ve been loving about this 20 Days of Ink series is how approachable it’s been. I’m creating something each day that I can share without much editing (which is usually the part that slows me down!). It’s become a joyful rhythm—make, film, post. Nothing fancy. Just the beauty of showing up.
The quote for today is:
“Each day is an opportunity for joy. Spread it around. Let it invade you.”
And that’s exactly what this piece represents. A gentle reminder that joy doesn’t always arrive with fireworks. Sometimes it comes through the quiet act of doing something you love. Through color. Through movement. Through sharing a piece of your heart.
