Day 6 – Get Curious

Today’s painting was inspired by this dreamy color palette—soft lilacs, playful pinks, and deep floral purples. it set the tone for my creative flow. I followed where the colors led me, layering petal shapes with care and intention. During the process, I felt connected, joyful… totally present.

But afterward, as I stepped back, I questioned my color choices. It’s interesting how easily doubt can creep in after a moment of contentment . That tension between loving the process and second-guessing the result is so real. Watch the video here

This quote spoke to me today—it feels aligned with the season I’m in and the shifts I’m noticing around me.

"Judgement comes from misunderstanding. Get curious and learn about others, and judgement will go away."

This isn’t just about how we view others—it’s also about how we view ourselves and our work. Sometimes we react with judgment before we pause to understand. Before we lean in with curiosity.

So instead of criticizing today’s piece, I chose to ask: What am I really feeling here? Maybe it’s about growth. Maybe it’s about letting go of perfection. Or maybe it’s just that uncomfortable feeling of sharing a piece that didn’t quite turn out how I imagined.

This is Day 6 of my 20 Days of Ink, a daily creative journey leading up to the Ink & Blooms 5-Day Challenge starting April 21st. Some pieces bloom instantly. Others need time and space. But all of them are invitations—to create, to reflect, to be kinder with ourselves.

So today, stay curious. About your art. About others. About what’s possible when we stop judging and start listening.
