Day 2 – What You Like to Do is What You Should Do
Today’s alcohol ink piece feels especially close to my heart.
A soft pink blossom growing from stone—fragile and bold all at once. The contrast of delicate bloom and rough terrain reminds me that beauty often emerges from unlikely places, and that doing what you love will always find a way to thrive, even when life feels like solid rock beneath your feet.
I created this piece using alcohol ink on Nara paper, allowing the pigments to guide me. It felt like joy. Like clarity. Like me doing exactly what I love to do.
That’s where today’s quote comes in: "What you like to do is what you should do."
Simple. Profound. True.
If you're reading this and wondering if your hobby matters—if your love for creating, painting, or playing with color is “enough”—let this be your sign. The things that bring you joy are not just side notes. They're directions.
This painting is part of my 20 Days of Ink series to help spark inspiration leading up to my Ink & Blooms 5-Day Challenge, starting April 21st. If you’ve ever wanted to explore alcohol ink or reignite your creativity with color and ease, I’d love for you to join.

Let this bloom be your permission to start.
Love & Create,
